Clinical Experience
As a pre-medical student, obtaining valuable clinical experience is critical to my professional development. To broaden my understanding of healthcare and patient interaction I have gotten involved in a variety of extracurriculars explained below.
North Florida Hospital
As a hospital volunteer I am responsible for ensuring patient satisfaction and contributing to a holistic positive patient experience. I enter patient rooms with a comfort and game cart to brighten their hospital stay and provide them with comfort and hygienic items.
UF Mobile Outreach Clinic
As a Care Coordinator, I follow-up with patients to help address their social determinants of health. I develop targeted plans for patients and provide them with community resources. In clinic I serve as a medical assistant where I am responsible for scribing, patient intake, and clinic flow.
First Responder Gator Program
This EMR certification program introduced me to the basics of emergency medical care and a wide array of life-saving medical procedures. I am CPR and BLS certified.
